First Time to New Mexico
I've never been to New Mexico so the boys and I went with Kim to a law conference in Santa Fe. We played hard while Kim attended the conference. We had the best time! It is such a casual, friendly city with so many great museums and restaurants.

Early Christmas at Zermatt
We spent the weekend at Zermatt with Luke, Ally, Maddie and Izzie. They traveled 30 hours from Perth, Australia. We had such a great time! We went swimming and had a birthday party for Izzie on Friday (she turned 3). On Saturday we went tubing at Soldier Hollow, went to storytime with Mrs. Claus and decorated cookies. Here are a few pictures of our fun, early Christmas.

4th of July Weekend
We had a GREAT weekend in Midway at Zermatt Resort. It really is one of our favorite places to get away! The weather was perfect and all the Fourth of July festivities were so much fun. We did it all: swimming, mini golf, chess, face painting, carousel rides, gelato, bluegrass band, feeding the goats, pedicures at the spa, fireworks, shakes at Granny's in Heber City, and shopping in Park City. It was a relaxing and fun Fourth of July -- it may be our new tradition.

Stan's Wedding

We had a wonderful trip to Montana to attend Stan and Alice's wedding in Billings. Stan is Kim's oldest brother. It was a quick trip that covered a lot of miles and the boys were so good. We stopped and saw Scott and Cokie on the way there and it was nice to be able to visit with them for a few minutes. We stayed in West Yellowstone Thursday night and arrived in Billings in Friday. The boys had a great time playing in Shane and Gina's pool (as evidenced by the photos). And we were so happy we were able to attend the wedding. Stan and Alice seem like they are meant for eacher other. We are so happy they found one another.

Anniversary Weekend
Nine years ago today Kim and I were married in the St. George Temple. I cannot imagine my life without him. To celebrate we are at Zermatt Resort in Midway. Our boys love it here we decided to bring them. We came last night, had dinner and went swimming. Today we went tubing at Solder Hollow. Kim and I had a blast but the boys thought it was too scary. This afternoon we went into Park City, did some shopping and had lunch. We went swimming again this afternoon and have just returned from having dinner. It really has been a perfect weekend! I am continually reminded how blessed we are as a couple and as a family.

Another great trip to NYC!

This was our 10th trip to New York City together and this was undoubtedly one of our coldest. With the windchill factor, it was below zero most of the time we were there. The weather did have its advantages. There wasn't a lot of traffic on Times Square and that's always a plus. We were able to cram in five shows in three days: Shrek the Musical, Speed the Plow, Billy Elliott, In the Heights and Forbidden Broadway. We really loved Billy Elliott. The music by Elton John was incredible and the story is quite touching. I also liked the fun and comedy of Shrek. It was a nice surprise. In addition to shows, we found a new restaurant we really loved -- Gotham Bar and Grill on Fifth Avenue. It's ournew favorite place! It's good to be home. We missed the boys but knew they were in good hands with Jordan and Jolynn. Now it's back to our normal routine. It was a nice break and fun to celebrate Kim's birthday in the Big Apple.

Seven days and counting
A week from today Kim and I will be on our way to New York City. We are going for Kim's birthday. We've decided it's our favorite destination. We never tire of it. We plan to see four or five Broadway shows, eat at our favorite restaurants and do a little shopping. It's the one time during the year that the two of us get away by ourselves. I'm really looking forward to it! I plan to take some pictures this time so I can put them on the blog after we get back. You can all live vicariously through us. I'm so glad we do this every year. There's no one I'd rather spend time with than Kim. It's nice to have uninterrupted conversations and have fun that isn't centered on animated movies, Candy Land, or bowling.
