Kim and I just returned from spending a week in London (Feb. 27-March 5) to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We had such a wonderful time seeing the sights, and just being together. The only downside to the trip is that we arrived on Sunday, but our luggage didn't arrive until late Wednesday night. Nonetheless, we purchased a few essentials and enjoyed every minute we were there. We were total tourists! Did the doubledecker hop on, hop off bus tour, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery, Big Ben, Tower Bridge and London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Harrods, and saw three shows at the West End. We are huge fans of the Tube system which makes it so easy to get anywhere. We overdosed on British chocolate, paid 14 pounds for a movie, and Kim loved the fish and chips. Luke, Ally and Izzie also took us to lunch one afternoon and Ally and Lizzie went souvenir shopping with us. It's good to be home. We sure missed the boys but knew they were being very spoiled by their Aunt Jolynn.

Sickness Abounds
We continue to fight colds at the Colton house. It has been the longest winter we can remember. One of us just gets over being sick, and then someone else comes down with something else. Ian just got over strept and now has an ear infection (gotta love those 10-day doses of medication). The rest of us all have bad coughs. Here's hoping for a week of recovery.

A Week in Spokane
I returned this afternoon from spending most of the week in Spokane, Wash., where my mother had hip replacement surgery. It sure is good to be home. I really miss Kim and the boys. I was so glad I could be there with my mom and help her through the first few days following her surgery. I got to Sacred Heart Medical Center at 8:00 in the morning and usually left around 9:00 p.m. It made for very long days, but it was nice to be able to give something back to the Mom. She is always the generous one -- the one who does for everyone else. Here's hoping and praying her recovery continues to go well, despite the long road ahead.

Tubing at Solider Hollow

The boys and I spent the afternoon tubing at Solider Hollow in Midway. We went for Reagan Long's fourth birthday party. It was such a perfect afternoon. The boys really had a great time. What a difference a year makes. This time last year we took Connor and Ian there for the first time and they got scared. Today they couldn't get enough. Kim and I plan to take them again before the snow leaves.

Go Jazz!
My brother's annual Christmas gift to our family is a night in a suite at a Jazz game. Last night the Jazz won big -- 118-89 against the Miami Heat. The boys love to go, especially when "The Bear" visits the suite. Ian's favorite part when the confetti "Bear" shot at him, and Connor just loved yelling at the top of his lungs with Uncle Bill. It was a fun evening!
