Koehler Family Reunion

My family had a reunion this past weekend in celebration of my mother's 75th birthday. We had a great turnout and kept a busy pace. We did all our favorite things: Ross Creek Cedars, the Swinging Bridge, Henry's Cafe, swimming, family games, and mom's birthday party.

Ian's Zoo Program

Ian's kindergarten class has been studying animals and their habitats the past few months. They had a field trip to the zoo a few weeks ago and today was their zoo program. Ian was a rattlesnake in the dessert habitat. The kids sang a few songs about animals and then each went to their specific habitat. Each student had memorized three facts about their animal.

Chinese Program: 字的演变

Today was Connor's first grade Chinese program -- "A Year in Chinese. " It was so great, and Connor did such a wonderful job. He has absolutely loved his teachers this year (Yung Smith, Chinese; and Debra Snow, English). We are so proud of him and all that he has learned this year. Ian will be in the Chinese program next year.

First Grade Talent Show

This morning Connor performed in the first grade's Talent Show. He sang two songs, one in Chinese and one in English. He insisted on dressing up in his Sunday best! We were so proud of him. He told everyone his mom said he had "the voice of an angel." And he does! He has such confidence in front of a crowd. We are so proud of him and his singing talents.
